The Story

We’re excited to announce that our Low-Profile Light-Duty Cross Bars LPLD are now supplied standard in premium 304 stainless steel!

Finished in the same satin black powder-coat as our roof-rack rails, these bars offer a higher-end, longer-lasting version of our proven design, while maintaining the clean, low-profile Tier One look you know and trust.

Designed with strength, versatility, and modularity in mind, Tier One Cross Bars give you complete freedom to configure your setup.

Each bar is: Fully adjustable, completely interchangeable and mountable in any rail position. This allows you to easily tailor your rack for touring, trade use, or everyday driving.

Lightweight and slim, these bars are ideal for direct rooftop-tent mounting or lighter accessories. Each bar is reinforced with welded supports underneath for added strength, outperforming comparable low-profile alternatives.

A gentle curve follows the roofline, delivering the lowest and cleanest fit possible.

Important Notes

  • All cross-bar sets include one rear-tab bar, unless ordering a ute setup
  • If you do not plan to run a rear wing, please specify this in your order notes
  • Otherwise, a tabbed bar will be included to suit the wing (excluding alloy extrusion setups)
  • If the gap on your GQ is very minimal it is likely your roof skin has separated internally from the support beams, if this is so we recommend removing the roof lining and re sticking the roof skin to the support beams.

If you may add a rear wing in the future, we recommend keeping the tabbed bar and mounting it with the tabs facing inward for now.

Why Choose Tier One Cross Bars

  • Australian-made and engineered in-house for real-world conditions
  • Modular and interchangeable — add, remove, or reposition bars at any time
  • Lightweight yet durable, proven under demanding loads
  • Accessory-ready, with a growing range of modular bolt-on add-ons in development

Whether you’re mounting a rooftop tent, loading up for work, or heading off-road, Tier One Metalworks Cross Bars deliver a slim, strong, and practical solution for any setup.
